Kross Soil Boost is a mountain bike in which the battery is fully integrated into the frame. This ensures significantly higher aesthetics, and also makes it easier to maintain cleanliness of the bike after long days spent in even the most demanding conditions.

Shimano STEPS-E8000

STEPS are advanced components for ebikes. It is a modern design that facilitates riding and supports the cyclist in every situation. Due to this, every cyclist can experience the extraordinary feeling of freedom and reach any destination. The 630Wh battery provides 70Nm of torque. Thanks to the battery capacity the maximum reach of the bicycle on electric assistance is even 145 km. The handlebars also include a display, namely Shimano Steps SC-E8000 showing the current battery level, range and other data related to the ride.

A unique feeling of comfort

Kross Soil Boost 2.0 630 constitute components ensuring high precision of gear shifting – a professional group is responsible for it, namely Shimano XT. Our electric bike is also equipped with Shimano Deore brakes, front shock absorber RockShox Yari RC and rear RockShox Deluxe Select R. To help the cyclist even in the most difficult terrain, the bike is also equipped with Kind Shock Lev drop down seatpost.

Soil Boost 2.0 630 with wheels installed on branded WTB Scraper i40 rims with the diameter of 27.5 inches, with WTB Trail Boss tires with the width of 2.6 inches. Such a set provides precise control over the bike even on the most difficult descents.

Kross Soil Boost 2.0 frame made of aluminum lite. It’s an improved 6061 aluminum alloy, which is a great compromise between high stiffness and low weight. It is characterized by high resistance to external conditions, breaking and impacts. In order to provide it with the lowest possible weight, each tube in the frame is modulated.

In the frame we used internal cable routing, thanks to which we obtained an aesthetic and elegant look. Internal cable routing also makes it easier to keep the bike clean and minimizes the risk of the cable hooking on roots when riding, for instance.

Izbira pravilne velikosti okvirja

Izbira pravilne velikosti okvirja kolesa ima velik vpliv na udobje pri kolesarjenju, a izbira ni tako preprosta, kadar ne moremo sesti na kolo in ga enostavno preizkusiti. Z leti se je razvila metoda, ki nam pomaga izbrati ustrezno velikost okvirja, tako da je po sestopu s sedeža razdalja med zgornjo cevjo okvirja in mednožjem vsaj 10 cm. To lahko izračunamo na naslednji način:

  1. Stojte bosi ob steni.
  2. Izmerite razdaljo med tlemi in mednožjem.
  3. Pomnožite rezultat: - z 0,57 za gorsko kolo - z 0,63 za treking kolo - z 0,66 za cestno kolo.
  4. Če želite pridobiti vrednost v palcih, morate to deliti z 2,54. Izračunana vrednost predstavlja velikost okvira, ki bi vam ustrezala.

Potrebno se je zavedati, da so ti izračuni zelo splošni, še posebej, če upoštevamo koliko kolesarskih stilov si je človeštvo izmislilo. Poleg tega dodatno otežuje izbiro tudi dolžina kolesa, saj odločilno vpliva na vaš položaj na kolesu. Na srečo je ta element mogoče prilagoditi z manjšimi spremembami: če na kolesu preveč "ležite", lahko zamenjate nosilec krmila za krajšega ali pa krmilo zamenjate za ukrivljenega z višjim nosilcem. S takšnimi spremembami je lahko vaš položaj na kolesu bolj pokončen in udoben. Če pa se vam zdi, da se vaše telo preveč "nasloni" na hrbet in pri vzponih začutite, da se prednje kolo komaj oprijema površine ali se od tal dviguje, vam lahko pomaga če sedež v objemki sedežne opore premaknete naprej.

Dodatno na izbiro okvirja vpliva tudi slog kolesarjenja. V primeru klasičnih stilov, kot so gorsko kolesarjenje, cestno kolesarjenje ali trekking, velikosti navedene v spodnjih tabelah večinoma držijo. Te vrednosti pa so lahko drugačne, če boste želeli kolo uporabiti za bolj ekstremne vožnje, na primer na maratonih ali XC dirkah, na 4 Cross-u, enduro ali spustu. V takšnih primerih bo primernejši okvir, ki je manjši vsaj za eno ali celo dve velikosti, saj je manjše kolo lažje manevrirati. Vendar bodite previdni, da ne pretiravate, saj bi to lahko škodljivo vplivalo na delovanje kolesa. Najbolje je najti nekakšno "zlato sredino", pri tem pa upoštevati matematične izračune, kolesarski slog in izkušnje drugih kolesarjev.
